Film Poster Amor America - a movie by Ciro Cappellari

AMOR AMERICA

“Amor America” is a poignant exploration of love and identity. The film weaves together the narratives of diverse characters who navigate the complexities of romantic relationships against the backdrop of an ever-changing America. Through its rich storytelling, vibrant visuals, and emotional depth, “Amor America” delves into the themes of connection, longing, and the search for belonging in a contemporary society.

The story begins with Mapuche singer Aimé Painé, who was snatched from her family as a child and grew up with her wealthy adoptive family in Buenos Aires. Her death and an encounter with her friend, Luisa Calcumil, an actress and a Mapuche, are the starting point for a journey along the South railroad line which was built during the military campaign to conquest the land and exterminate their ancestors.
